DJI, an industry leader in drone and aerial imaging, unveiled a new integrated LiDAR solution for their flagship M300 RTK at INTERGEO. The Zenmuse L1 is set to change the industry by bringing a high-efficient payload solution at a remarkeable price point.
Arjun Menon, Engineering Manager at DJI - USA, said:
"With these two new payloads, we are providing an all-integrated complete solution to our enterprise customers active in accurate geospatial data acquisition. Having a fully integrated capable and affordable Lidar seamlessly integrated into our best commercial drone is a dream that becomes reality for surveying, mapping and construction professionals. They will be able to see, cover and understand the geospatial context from a totally new perspective thanks to the high level of accuracy and quality of the data collected from these tools in the sky."
In the aerial surveying world, LiDAR is a vital technology for creating accurate ground models. In areas of dense vegetation and heavy foliage, traditional photogrammetry can not create accurate and reliable data. LiDAR can penetrate the canopy, creating high-resolution ground models and mapping areas that were once previously impossible.
The Zenmuse L1 integrates the a lightweight Livox Lidar module, high-accuracy IMU, and 20 MP mechanical shutter on a 3-axis stabilized gimbal. With a scan rate up to 240,000 points per second and range of 450 meters, the L1 makes Lidar data capture easy and seamless.
The L1 was designed for the flagship Matrice 300 RTK drone and DJI Terra software. Get real-time 3D data in even the harshest conditions with an IP44 rating. The L1's Lidar module enables accurate data capture in low-light environments.
Exceptional Efficiency
Generate true-color point cloud models in real-time, or acquire 2 km2 of point cloud data in a
single flight[5] using the Livox frame Lidar module with a 70°FOV and a visible light camera
with a 1-inch sensor.
Unparalleled Accuracy
Render centimeter-accurate reconstructions thanks to the high-accuracy IMU, a vision sensor
for positioning accuracy, and the incorporation of GNSS data.
Point Cloud LiveView
Real-time point clouds provide immediate insights onsite, so operators are informed to make
critical decisions quickly.
You can also verify fieldwork quality by checking point cloud data immediately after each
flight.
Measurement and Annotation
Acquire and communicate critical dimensions on the point cloud model using measurements
and annotations.
One-Stop Post-processing
DJI Terra fuses the IMU and GNSS data for point cloud and visible light calculations, in addition
to conducting POS data calculations so you can effortlessly generate reconstructed models and
accuracy reports.
